Under the general direction of the Cyber Security Director (CISO), you will report to the Enterprise Cyber Security Program Department Manager and serve as a recognized expert on cloud security. You are responsible for ensuring the security of Manitoba Hydro’s cloud services and integration with on‑premise environments through the Enterprise Cyber Security Program (ECSP) cloud priorities, strategy, design architecture, assessments, and risk management. Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package Defined‑benefit pension plan Nine‑day work cycle (every other Monday off) Flex‑time and partially remote work schedule (up to 3 days per 2‑week period) Responsibilities Lead ECSP’s cloud priorities: develop policies, standards, accountability structures, and centralized services to support implementation of cloud‑related priorities. Design the cloud security strategy and architecture, including reference architecture, multi‑cloud security requirements, and appropriate tool selection. Lead cloud security assessments: provide expert input on maturity assessments, penetration tests, risk assessments, and other evaluations. Manage cloud‑related cyber risk: identify, assess, track, and initiate action on enterprise‑wide cloud security risks. Prepare and deliver ECSP metrics and status updates to governing committees. Maintain industry relationships and stay abreast of technology innovations and standards. Support cyber security operations and incident response when required. Qualifications Graduate in Engineering with at least seven years of relevant experience, including two years in network design related to Cyber Security, OT, or IT Infrastructure. Professional membership with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba or willingness to attain within specified time. Certification (within 12 months) such as ISAACA CSX Cybersecurity Practitioner, (ICS)2 Entry‑Level, or similar certifications (CCNA, CISSP, CISM, etc.) are desirable. Technical experience with firewalls, routers, switches, NAT, and other infrastructure components. Knowledge of NIST, ISO, NERC CIP standards, and related compliance requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, negotiation, and organizational skills. Demonstrated initiative, analytical ability, and sound decision‑making. Valid Manitoba Driver’s Licence. Must hold a clear security rating (Personnel Risk Assessment) and complete Manitoba Hydro Standards of Conduct and CIP Training. Salary Range Hourly: $51.34 – $70.34.
