Location: Edmonton, AB & Surrounding Areas Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: $40-$44/hr starting depending on experience Link: emceeconstruction.com/careers Job Overview As a Site Supervisor, you will be the on-site leader responsible for representing Emcee and overseeing all site construction, managing subcontractors and labour, participating in project meetings, mentoring team members, and working with the Project Manager and Project Assistant to deliver a high-quality, safe and timely job. We work in a variety of environments, from commercial fit-ups, building envelope, and light industrial to healthcare and special projects. Responsibilities Develop and monitor look-ahead schedules to assign project resources and forecast needs Supervise day-to-day on site activities, managing subcontractors and in-house staff Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Emcee’s Safety Policy on site Participate in project meetings with the Project Manager and stakeholders Perform daily site inspections and reporting, regularly communicating with Project Management Mentor and train Emcee staff on-site, providing feedback and helping them grow their skills and careers Work hand-in-hand with the Project Manager to deliver projects safely, on-time and on-budget Maintain constant communication with Project Management to ensure smooth project flow, maintain budgets and schedules Required Qualifications 3-5 years of proven supervisory commercial construction experience. General Contractor experience on projects up to $5M preferred. In-depth knowledge of current construction practices, building codes and safety legislation Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in reading and interpreting contract documents, plans and specifications Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and own vehicle Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in conflict management Ability to represent Emcee on site to stakeholders, external parties, inspectors and more CSTS, WHMIS, Standard First Aid Preferred Qualifications Experience using Procore Journeyman or Red Seal Carpenter Certificate Leadership training and courses Legislation Awareness training Why Should You Choose Emcee?
