What is the Opportunity? Aecon is seeking a Project Controls Co‑op to join the Urban Transportations Solutions group to support dynamic transit projects in Canada. This 12‑month co‑op begins in May 2026 and offers two positions based in Toronto. Co‑op Duration: 12‑months Co‑op Start: May 2026 Positions Available: 2 Location: 20 Carlson Court, Toronto, ON What You Will Do Here Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6. Support cost control and estimating activities leveraging Hard Dollar and SAP systems. Prepare and analyze progress measurement reports, dashboards, and performance metrics. Validate and integrate work scope into total project plans, ensuring data integrity across the lifecycle. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support Earned Value Management and forecasting processes. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for Aecon’s Project Controls standards. Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting using Microsoft Excel for data‑driven decision‑making. Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging. What You Bring To The Team Currently enrolled in a university or college program in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Primavera P6, SAP, and Hard Dollar is an asset. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends. Adaptive thinking and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
