About you

To be considered, you will need

  • 5+ years of experience as a Family Lawyer in Ontario
  • Licensed to practice in Ontario, in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills, achieving positive client outcomes
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in teams
  • Available to work on-site in downtown Ottawa

About the role

If successful, you will:

  • Collaborate with legal teams to provide comprehensive legal services to clients
  • Represent clients in family law cases: divorce, child custody and access, spousal support, property division, and adoption
  • Communicate regularly with clients, updating them on case progress and managing expectations
  • Stay current on family law changes and precedents to provide effective legal services
  • Prepare and argue cases in family court, based on legal statutes, case law, and client-specific circumstances
  • Offer clear legal advice, explaining clients' rights under Ontario family law
