Pana Community Hospital is seeking a motivated, organized, and compassionate individual to join our team at PMG Ramsey as a Patient Access Specialist. This position serves as a primary point of contact for patients, providing a welcoming and professional experience while supporting efficient patient registration and clinic operations.
Salary Range
$16.74–$20.09 per hour, based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors with kindness and professionalism.
- Register patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and collect payments.
- Answer and triage incoming calls.
- Submit required insurance documentation.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
- Support coworkers and contribute as a positive team player.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Medical office experience preferred.
- Strong computer and multitasking skills, including navigation multiple computer applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients, family members, physicians, and team members.
- Friendly, compassionate, and committed to outstanding customer service.
- Experience with office equipment such as calculators, computer monitors/printers, fax machines, and copiers preferred.
