Services are delivered through an empowerment based, trauma‑informed lens, and within the broader context of the social determinants of health. Qualifications Undergraduate degree in the social sciences, graduate degree preferred Minimum two years supervised in‑person counselling experience Experience providing psycho‑educational and/or therapeutic group counselling Comprehensive knowledge of intimate partner violence and experience counselling people who behave abusively in intimate relationships Familiarity with brief treatment therapy models Thorough knowledge and clinical experience related to risk assessment, crisis intervention, suicide prevention, suicide loss, mental health and substance use and addiction Understanding of the role of professional self‑reflection in the counselling process Ability to contribute to a positive team culture Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) Awareness of and sensitivity to issues of diversity Responsibilities Provide individual and group counselling with people who have experienced intimate partner violence Work in close collaboration with Evolve counsellors providing services to families as well as counsellors supporting individuals who have used abusive behaviour in their intimate relationships Facilitate public education training on the dynamics and impacts of intimate partner violence Liaise with community resources and service organizations Work as part of a team and promote team functioning Attend staff meetings as required Adhere to all agency policies, protocols and best practices Seek appropriate supervision/consultation of own actions Participate in training offered elsewhere and by Klinic to maintain and improve quality of service Participate in programme planning, evaluation and quality monitoring including completion of statistical data Participate in formal self‑evaluations Perform other duties and functions related to the job description but not exceeding above stated capacities Salary Range $39,424 per hour - $51,449 per hour Diversity and Inclusion Klinic is committed to working towards having a more equitable and diverse workforce at all levels of our organization.
