About the Role:

Kluane Partners is looking for a Summer Analyst to join our team in Calgary for a four-month term beginning in May 2025. This internship provides hands-on experience in all aspects of deal execution and client advisory, offering a unique opportunity to gain exposure to real M&A and financing transactions in a boutique investment banking environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Support deal execution and business development efforts across a range of industries
  • Conduct financial analysis on client and industry data, including historical and projected performance
  • Assist with building and maintaining detailed financial models
  • Prepare marketing and transaction materials such as pitch decks, confidential information memorandums, and internal memos
  • Support due diligence processes, including data room management and tracking inbound interest from potential buyers or investors
  • Conduct industry research and competitive benchmarking
  • Work closely with senior team members and gain exposure to all aspects of advisory work

What We're Looking For:

  • Undergraduate student entering their final year of a degree related to corporate finance (business, finance, accounting) or another quantitative discipline
  • Demonstrable interest in corporate finance and investment banking
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous internship experience in finance, accounting, or related fields is an asset
