About the Role We’re looking for a curious, capable, and hands-on leader to build our Supply Chain function from the ground up. You will design the systems, establish the processes, and lead the team needed to support procurement, logistics, production and capacity planning, and inventory management. Working with colleagues across the company, you will collect and use data to support planning, keep materials moving smoothly, and continuously improve operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong track record in a high-growth environment—particularly in life sciences—and experience operating at the intersection of manufacturing and services. What You’ll Be Doing Procurement Design and maintain procurement workflows that are scalable, automated, and audit-ready. Develop sourcing strategies and manage supplier relationships, including negotiation and performance oversight. Collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, and Service Lab leaders to forecast material needs using data-driven models and increasingly automated tools. Operational Planning Lead overall internal production planning/capacity and execution processes in collaboration with operational leaders to deliver high quality, cost effective and timely performance. Responsible for ERP system data integrity, accuracy and overall performance functionality. Facilitate development and maintenance of various operational/capacity resource models to assist in resource planning and budgeting. Inventory Management Own the company’s inventory systems and processes, ensuring tight integration between the ERP and Nomic’s internally developed LIMS, which serves as the central hub for operational data. Develop and implement an overall inventory carrying strategies to optimize operational performance and financial stewardship. Oversee receiving operations: intake, verification, and system entry of inbound materials. Maintain accurate physical inventory across all storage sites, with responsibility for material movement, reconciliation, and audit readiness. Ensure end-to-end tracking of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished product. Monitor and analyze lot traceability, shelf life, cost structure, and inventory variances. About You You’re naturally curious, quick to learn, and energized by solving problems collaboratively and across disciplines. You think end-to-end—from planning and procurement to logistics and inventory—and you’re driven to design systems that are both effective and built to scale from day one. You bring an engineering mindset, are tech-savvy, and care about making things run smoothly, reliably, and transparently. You approach operations with a practical, iterative mindset and a focus on continuous improvement. You’ve seen what good looks like in a rapidly growing manufacturing organization like ours, and you’ve developed the judgment to know when to move fast, when to push back, and when to step in and fix it yourself. You’re flexible in how you work with others, comfortable navigating change and ambiguity, and trusted by your colleagues to bring structure without rigidity. You’re excited to be one of the first leaders of this function, knowing your work will help enable scientists to better measure and understand biology. What You Bring 10+ years of diverse experience in supply chain, operations, or manufacturing roles, ideally within life sciences tools or related sectors 5+ years leading and developing teams, with a strong track record of coaching, mentoring, and performance management Proven success implementing scalable processes and systems in a venture or high-growth environment Ability to motivate, coach and educate colleagues in operational excellence and quality system methodologies Strong communicator with demonstrated ability to collaborate across scientific, operational, and commercial teams Proficiency with NetSuite is highly desirable Advanced degree (e.g., MSc) in engineering, the life sciences, or a related technical field is a plus. About Nomic Nomic was founded to make biology easier to measure—and to enable scientists to extend lives by making proteomics accessible, scalable, and routine. Our story began at McGill University, where our co-founders and early team developed breakthrough technology that would change the way proteins are measured. Today, Nomic is powered by our proprietary nELISA platform—an end-to-end technology that delivers high-throughput, quantitative, and affordable protein data at unprecedented scale. With the launch of Omni 1000, we are making the $50 proteome a reality, breaking down barriers that have limited the field for decades. For the first time, large-scale, quantitative proteomics is accessible to any scientist, supporting everything from drug discovery and translational research to AI-enabled therapeutic development. Since our launch, we’ve partnered with leaders in pharma, biotech, and academia—including GlaxoSmithKline and the Broad Institute—and have profiled more than 500,000 samples across diverse applications. Our growth is fueled by over $60 million in investment from top-tier backers, including our recent $42 million Series B. We’re building a team of world-changers—scientists, engineers, and problem-solvers who believe that accessible proteomics can help shape the future of medicine. If you want your work to have real impact, we’d love to meet you. Learn more in our Series B announcement .
