Our Technology Risk Services team is growing and we are looking for Senior Managers to join our Toronto office. The Technology Risk Consulting practice provides a variety of services to our clients, focusing on IT Audit and Assurance. What You Will Do Work closely with Audit teams to scope processes and conduct assessments of IT risks and controls, including general IT controls and automated controls embedded within information systems in support of external audit engagements. Perform engagements such as System and Organization Control (SOC) reports and other external audit or attestation services. Review new and existing systems for control adequacy, security, operational considerations, conversion issues, and project management assessment. Provide advice and assistance on business process controls. Engagement risk management and quality assurance through file review, engagement planning, development, and monitoring; manage profitability while delivering multiple client engagements of varying size, scope, and complexity. Lead business development efforts: increase awareness of KPMG’s services, develop relationships with clients and staff, propose solutions, and pursue opportunities to grow practice penetration. Serve as a resource through research, technical testing, report writing, client interviews, and regular communication. Guide field engagement teams, coach, and mentor junior staff members. What You Bring To The Role Experience within an external audit practice auditing clients in the Financial Services industry, with a strong understanding of processes related to banks and capital market entities in Canada. Completion of one or more designations: CPA, CISA, CISSP, CRISC; CPA or equivalent accounting designation is highly recommended. At least 8+ years of relevant experience assessing information technology or business process risk, ideally within a large consulting practice. Strong understanding of IT General Controls and controls‑based audits (e.g., SOC reporting). Ability to work independently and within a team. Bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science (ideally with an accounting major). Excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to learn and succeed in a fast‑paced environment. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Solid understanding of business and audit risks.
