Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vascular Sonographer to join our diagnostic imaging team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality vascular ultrasound examinations and providing preliminary diagnostic evaluations to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular conditions. Key Responsibilities: Perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound studies including carotid duplex, arterial and venous Doppler of the upper and lower extremities, abdominal vascular studies, and graft surveillance. Acquire accurate sonographic images and maintain proper documentation of all procedures. Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the exam. Analyze results and provide detailed preliminary findings to interpreting physicians. Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure proper sterilization and function. Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and clinical safety protocols. Assist in training and mentoring of new staff or students, if applicable. Perform echocardiograms (Echocardiograms, Doppler, Stress Echo) as ordered by physicians, documenting findings and providing initial analysis. Prepare and maintain patient records in accordance with healthcare privacy laws and policies. Provide high-quality imaging to assist in diagnosing and evaluating cardiac conditions. Communicate effectively with patients to ensure their comfort and explain procedures. Work collaboratively with cardiologists, technicians, and healthcare professionals to deliver the best patient care. Maintain and troubleshoot equipment as necessary. Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques. Participate in training and continuing education programs. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Current certification in vascular technology: RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) . Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support). Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in vascular ultrasound preferred, but new grads with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
