Join North York General to accelerate your career Position Summary Laboratory Technician , Histopathology Performs laboratory procedures in accordance with departmental and divisional policies. This position contributes to the shared responsibility of ensuring health and safety policies are followed to provide for a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and families. Responsibilities Assist pathologists and pathologists’ assistant at gross bench. Set up and clean equipment. Stain and coverslip. Change reagents and maintain supplies. Perform accessioning, sorting, filing and organizing histopathology specimens. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Graduate of Laboratory Technician program. MLPAO certification. Experience in histology laboratory is preferred. Basic knowledge and ability to perform assigned tasks. Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral English. Ability to organize and prioritize workload, flexible to schedule changes. Bilingualism in French/English is an asset. What We Offer This is a Full‑Time Temporary position of 12 months with 8‑hour shifts, including days, weekends, nights, and evenings in the Laboratory Medicine, Anatomical Path‑Histology unit.
