Our team invests persistence, creativity, and strategic litigation skills in every matter we handle. We are currently seeking a motivated Associate Criminal Defence Lawyer with 1–5 years of experience to join our dynamic firm. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your criminal practice within a collegial, high‑calibre environment and work on meaningful, challenging cases from bail hearings through trial. What You’ll Do Manage your own files and appear in court on behalf of clients. Conduct legal research, draft motions, facta, and other court materials. Develop litigation strategies and provide strong advocacy in bail hearings, trials, and procedural matters. Advise clients on legal rights, potential outcomes, and defence options. Conduct trials in both SCJ and OCJ. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree Good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. 1–5 years of criminal defence experience (call to the bar). Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills. Ability to manage files independently and work collaboratively with a team. Commitment to excellence in client care and ethical practice.
