Start ParaMed’s Home Support Worker training in Dryden, Ontario, with compassion and listening skills at the centre of community care. The program begins November 18, 2026.

This full-time trainee program prepares you to support people safely in their homes. You will receive free and paid training through a three-week in-class program. After graduation, permanent positions are available in Dryden and Fort Frances, with eligibility for full-time hours and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete several home visits each day
  • Prepare meals and provide mealtime assistance
  • Perform basic housekeeping duties
  • Provide companionship and support patient well-being
  • Assist with hygiene care and daily activities

Requirements:

  • Compassionate approach and strong listening skills
  • Willingness to visit residences within a designated area
  • Ability to work every other weekend
  • Valid driver’s licence and vehicle access
  • High school diploma or equivalent
