We are seeking a visionary Grade 2/3 classroom teacher who is passionate about progressive education and ready to transform learning by creating dynamic, hands-on educational experiences that prepare students for real-world success.
Role Overview:
- Innovative Teaching: Lead a combined class through integrated themes rather than isolated subjects, tailoring education to the individual needs of students.
- Community Contribution: Engage actively in our school community, promoting a culture of empathy, respect, and open communication.
- Leadership & Development : Participate in and potentially lead initiatives that enhance our educational offerings, reflecting continuous personal and professional growth.
What You'll Do:
- Implement our holistic, student-centered curriculum which supports the 'whole child'.
- Utilize technology seamlessly in your teaching practice to enhance learning.
- Foster an environment where students are excited about learning and parents are engaged in their children's education.
- Work collaboratively with a team of passionate educators dedicated to innovative teaching methods.
What You'll Bring:
- M.Ed., M.A., or M.Sc. in Education.
- At least 3 years of teaching experience at the elementary level, ideally with grades 2 and 3.
- B.C. Ministry of Education Certification.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A growth mindset, high standards, and a passionate commitment to your students' learning and development.
