Deliver packages for UPS in Guelph using safe driving and strong customer contact skills. This full-time outdoor position requires lifting and flexibility.
As a Package Delivery Driver, you will deliver and pick up packages efficiently while representing UPS on the road. The position involves continual lifting, lowering, carrying, loading, and unloading. You will follow defensive driving methods, navigate with maps, and maintain package information. Workdays are Monday through Friday, with a 9:00 AM start that may vary. Shifts typically last 8 to 10 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and pick up packages efficiently
- Follow company-established safe driving methods
- Execute defensive driving practices
- Assist with truck loading and unloading
- Record and track delivered package information
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s License
- Clean driver’s abstract meeting stated standards
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 pounds
- Ability to read and navigate maps
- Flexibility for operationally varying start and finish times
