Hourly Contract – Remote – $90–$150/hour – 10–40 hours/week Base Pay Range $90.00/hr – $150.00/hr Organization: Mercor Position: Physics PhD (Top 30 Program, US/UK/CA) Referral Partner: Crossing Hurdles Type: Hourly Contract Compensation: $90–$150/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided) Solve and evaluate advanced, graduate-level physics problems across multiple subfields. Review AI-generated proofs and reasoning for correctness, clarity, and rigor. Identify conceptual or mathematical gaps in AI reasoning outputs. Provide detailed feedback and theorem-based evaluations to strengthen AI learning models. Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers to refine and validate scientific reasoning processes. Requirements PhD in Physics from a top 30 program in the US, UK, or Canada. Strong experience in advanced theoretical or mathematical physics (not applied physics or engineering). Ideally active in research or academia. Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and problem‑solving ability. Excellent written communication and clarity in explaining complex reasoning.
