Position: Python Developer Type: Part-time / Contract Compensation: $30–$50/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10–20 hours/week Role Responsibilities Contribute to open-source Python repositories used by leading AI and data teams. Design, implement, and optimize backend systems in Python for scalability and maintainability. Collaborate asynchronously with global contributors using GitHub workflows (issues, PRs, code review). Ensure code quality with automated testing and documentation. Drive best practices for modularity, type safety, and performance. Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in Python backend development. Active and regular contributor to open-source repositories (verified via GitHub). Strong understanding of software design principles and backend architecture. Familiarity with modern development tools (pytest, black, flake8, Docker, GitHub Actions). Excellent written communication and ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment. Compensation & Legal Contractor engagement via Mercor. Weekly payments through Stripe Connect.
