RMUS Canada is the largest remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) vendor in Canada, specializing in enterprise drone and robotic inspection programs. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Electrical Engineer located in Kanata, ON. The candidate will be responsible for designing embedded control and communications systems for unmanned vehicles and performing rigorous field testing to ensure quality and reliability. This position will be focused on developing autonomous navigation solutions for vehicles operating in tandem. Specific Responsibilities Oversee all electronic design initiatives including component selection, PCB design, sensor integration and power delivery Become a subject matter expert on RF radio technology Collaborate with engineering team and strategic customers to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective and meet specifications Manage project scopes, design proposals, prototype development and report progress to management Improve performance and manufacturability of existing products Investigate product failures, troubleshoot electrical issues and support process improvements to increase reliability Mentor junior engineers and build highly functional electrical team Prepare special reports, industry white-papers and patent disclosures Requirements Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or Applied Science Licensed Professional Engineer (optional) 5+ years engineering experience in high-speed electronics, RF or related industry Proficiency with 3D CAD, Altium and AI-based productivity tools Ability to manage concurrent designs under stringent timelines Ability to effectively communicate with and influence technical and non-technical personnel Must qualify for Level II (Secret) Security Clearance Opportunities to work with bleeding edge robotics and radio technology Exposure to the most prominent robotics programs for both military and industrial applications Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits Global travel Opportunities for advanced learning and leadership development Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Engineering and Information Technology Industries Aviation & Aerospace #J-18808-Ljbffr
