About the Role Due to significant growth, they are looking for a Senior Benefits Analyst to join their team, located at Yonge and Sheppard in Toronto. The role combines technical knowledge of group benefits plans with financial and data analysis, carrier negotiation, and client support within a group insurance environment. The ideal candidate shares The Consulting House core values and has a good understanding of the group insurance market combined with previous experience working for an Insurance Carrier or Broker. You will collaborate closely with advisors, account managers, and administrators to ensure exceptional client service and plan outcomes. Responsibilities Analyze Renewal Reports: Negotiate rates with insurance carriers and prepare comprehensive client reports and presentations. Plan Experience Analysis: Perform quarterly analysis of plan experience, prepare budget projections, and review financial performance of the plans. Cost Impact Analysis: Gather data to assess the cost impact of plan design changes. Market Research: Conduct marketing activities, including preparing and submitting specifications, analyzing and comparing costs, and producing detailed marketing summaries. Financial Review: Analyze financial information, prepare total compensation statements, and develop payroll calculators. Client Engagement: Occasionally attend and actively participate in client meetings. Special Projects: Assist with various special projects as required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance, or a related discipline. 10+ years of experience in Employee Benefits with an insurance carrier or preferably a consulting/brokerage firm. Proficient in Microsoft Office software. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills. Experience working with larger clients, greater than 100 employees is an asset. Completion of CEBS designation or working towards their CEBS designation is an asset. Knowledge of Group Retirement Programs is an asset. Bilingual in French is an asset.
