About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated financial analyst to join our finance team. In this role, you will be called upon to play a key role in our Finance team overseeing both our Copper assets in Quebec: our Copper Smelter in Rouyn-Noranda and our Copper and Precious metal Refinery in Montreal-East. You'll be directly involved in all financial activities related to revenues and inventories derived from raw material purchased and commodity sales. Working closely with commercial and operational departments, you are responsible for maintaining accurate accounting transactions, producing meaningful financial analysis and reporting and continuously improving the operational process efficiencies and effectiveness.

In this position, you'll report to the Manager for Revenues, inventories and metal accounting based in Toronto.

What Your Typical Week Will Look Like:

You will:

  • Perform key financial analysis on realized margins from material purchased
  • Manage all financials activities related to metal commodities
  • Analyze financial actual results against forecast and budget
  • Perform accounting transactions related to revenues and inventories
  • Produce key financial and operational reporting to help support the decision-making process
  • month-end accounting activities
  • Be a key resource to support external audits
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including operations, marketing and asset commercial teams, group finance, and other functional areas

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g. CPA, CFA) is an asset
  • 3+ years of experience as a financial analyst preferably in the mining or manufacturing sector
  • Self-motivated, proactive and results oriented, with great attention to details
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide relevant information
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to synthesize financial results well and translate them in a simple and concise way for management reviews
  • Value teamwork and collaboration between departments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Power Points, Teams) and other relevant financial software
  • Experienced with SAP is asset
  • Languages: Bilingual French/English

Nous recherchons un analyste financier dynamique et motivé pour rejoindre notre équipe des finances. Dans ce rôle, vous jouerez un rôle clé au sein de notre équipe financière, supervisant nos deux actifs de cuivre au Québec : notre fonderie de cuivre à Rouyn-Noranda et notre affinerie de cuivre et de métaux précieux à Montréal-Est.

Vous serez directement impliqué dans toutes les activités financières liées aux revenus et aux inventaires provenant des matières premières achetées et des ventes de produits de base. En étroite collaboration avec les départements commerciaux et opérationnels, vous serez responsable du maintien d'une comptabilité rigoureuse, de la production d'analyses financières pertinentes et de rapports, ainsi que de l'amélioration continue de l'efficacité et de la performance des processus opérationnels.

Dans ce poste, vous relèverez du gestionnaire des revenus, inventaires et comptabilité des métaux, basé à Toronto.

Ce que vous apportez:

  • Baccalauréat en finance, comptabilité ou dans un domaine connexe. Un diplôme avancé ou une certification professionnelle (ex. CPA, CFA) est un atout.
  • 3+ ans d'expérience en tant qu'analyste financier, de préférence dans le secteur minier ou manufacturier.
