What you will do The VP of IT at Groupe Nordik is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire IT strategy and operations of the organization. This role involves guiding the development and implementation of technology initiatives that align with business goals, ensuring that the company's technological resources are secure, efficient, and future‑ready. The VP of IT will lead multiple teams across software development, infrastructure, and IT operations, while fostering innovation, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role reports directly to the executive team and plays a key part in decision‑making at the highest levels of the organization. Responsibilities Develop and execute the overall IT strategy, aligning it with the company's long‑term business objectives. Lead and oversee all technology operations (software development, network infrastructure, IT security, etc.), ensuring optimal performance and alignment with company priorities. Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the IT department, encouraging the adoption of cutting‑edge technologies. Collaborate with the executive team to evaluate new technologies and drive digital transformation across the organization. Oversee the implementation and evolution of enterprise architecture, ensuring that IT infrastructure supports scalability, performance, and security requirements. Manage IT governance and compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Lead initiatives to enhance IT security and protect the company's digital assets, identifying and mitigating potential risks. Oversee budgetary planning for IT operations, ensuring cost‑effective use of resources and technology investments. Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring optimal value for the company. Drive IT project management efforts, ensuring timely delivery, clear communication with stakeholders, and alignment with business priorities. Identify opportunities for automation, operational efficiency, and system improvements within the IT infrastructure. Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are up to date and functional. Mentor and develop IT leaders, creating a pipeline of future talent within the organization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred. Fifteen (15) + years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a track record of overseeing large‑scale technology implementations and managing high‑performing teams. Proven experience in developing IT strategies and implementing digital transformation initiatives. Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance. Deep technical expertise in software development, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture. Familiarity with modern frameworks and methodologies, such as Agile and DevOps. Experience in managing large IT budgets and vendor relationships. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization. Ability to drive change, manage complex projects, and align technology initiatives with business goals. Extensive knowledge of cloud computing, cybersecurity practices, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Proficiency in software development and architecture, including cloud platforms, mobile technologies, and large‑scale distributed systems. Experience with automation, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code (IaC). Familiarity with API management, data analytics, and big data technologies.
