Application Developer – Interactive Visitor App Location: Vancouver, BC. This role involves partnering on the technical development of an innovative digital experience for Fishers Walk visitors. The project is in its discovery phase, focusing on creating an engaging mobile or web-based platform that integrates narrative content with multimedia elements such as motion graphics, video, audio, and potentially augmented reality features. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the design and user experience team to translate creative concepts into a robust, scalable technical solution. The initial phase centers on defining project goals, target audiences, and technical requirements, laying the groundwork for a comprehensive technical brief and future implementation. The ideal applicant is based in Vancouver, BC, and brings a strong background in both frontend and backend development for interactive digital platforms. Responsibilities Collaborate with design and UX teams to define technical requirements and project goals Develop technical architecture for a mobile or web-based interactive platform Implement multimedia integration, including video, audio, and motion graphics Explore and potentially integrate augmented reality and live filter features Deliver comprehensive functional requirements and a technical brief for project costing and planning Ensure scalability, security, and performance of the platform Participate in discovery workshops and provide technical recommendations Adhere to project timelines and communicate progress effectively Skills And Requirements Proven experience in mobile app and/or web-based platform development Proficiency in both frontend and backend technologies (e.g., React Native, Flutter, or similar frameworks; Node.js, Python, or equivalent backend stacks) Experience integrating multimedia content and interactive features Familiarity with augmented reality frameworks and live filter technologies is a plus Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to translate creative concepts into technical solutions Excellent communication and documentation abilities Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment Must be based in Vancouver, BC Availability to participate in discovery and planning sessions as required Twine is a leading freelance marketplace connecting top freelancers, consultants, and contractors with companies needing creative and tech expertise.
