Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Architect specializing in the health sector for a long-term contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in a large-scale modernization/transition project. The position requires a strong understanding of FHIR messaging, Cloud, and healthcare applications/systems.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (experience):

  • Lead the prioritization, proposal, design of any sustainment upgrades to the current state solution
  • Have a proficient understanding of the current state solution to participate in future state discussions with the client and provide advice and recommendation to support decision making
  • Develop proposals (design and estimates) for current state and future state projects.
  • Hardware upgrades (including reducing reliance on SPARC/Solaris), secure access to the database, and identity management solution planning
  • Experience with LINUX/UNIX

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Must have 10+ years of work experience as a Systems Architect
  • Experience with health sector messaging standards (HL7 and FHIR)
  • Experience with healthcare application including electronic health records, drug information systems, and lab systems
  • Experience with health registries (e.g. provider, client) and integration with health applications
  • Experience with Enterprise level identity management solutions for provider and patient solutions
  • Experience with BC or other provincial connect and digital health vision, strategies and solutions

  • Candidate must be based in BC
