Senior Civil Engineer - Land Development Join our client, a multi‑disciplinary engineering firm, as a Senior Civil Engineer in Land Development. The role focuses on end‑to‑end land development lifecycle, client relationships, and business development in Ontario. Responsibilities Lead and manage all phases of land development projects, including planning, design, permitting, and construction. Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans; monitor progress to ensure timely delivery. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Prepare and submit estimates for RFPs and follow up on submitted proposals. Facilitate preparation of civil engineering designs and technical drawings; review and approve designs for compliance. Serve as primary point of contact for clients, conduct meetings and presentations, and maintain relationships. Ensure adherence to municipal, provincial, and federal regulations; submit permits and interface with authorities. Mentor and lead a multidisciplinary engineering team; implement process improvements and manage risks. Prepare cost estimates, manage budgets, and assist in proposals, bids, and contracts. Skills & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license, registered and in good standing. 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, with focus on land development and municipal infrastructure projects. Experience managing projects through entire lifecycle: conceptual, detailed design, permitting, tendering, construction administration. Technical proficiency in hydrology, hydraulic modeling, and stormwater design. Client‑facing communication skills, coordinating with developers, municipal staff, contractors. Proven ability to manage project budgets and schedules, including detailed cost estimates.
