  4. Perform integration system planning for Distributed Energy Resources and Battery Energy Storage systems.
  5. Evaluate system power use and demand side management initiatives.
  6. Prepare short and long-range distribution system planning reports,
  7. Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.

Electrical and Telecommunication Utility Design (Secondary Responsibilities)

  1. Assist in the design and planning of overhead and underground electrical distribution systems (4kV–25kV) for utilities, municipalities, and private clients
  2. Conduct underground distribution design, including cable routing, duct bank design, and vault layouts
  3. Assist in the design and integration of fiber optic communication systems within electrical distribution and renewable energy designs.
  4. Support the planning, design, and integration of renewable energy systems (solar, wind, hydro) with utility grids and microgrids
  5. Support the design and modelling of battery energy storage systems (BESS),
  6. Prepare construction packages, including pole line design, conductor sizing, transformer selection, and protection coordination
  7. Perform technical analysis of hybrid energy systems, including distributed energy resources (DER) and demand-side management strategies
  8. Conduct field visits and site assessments to collect data, verify designs, and support project execution
  9. Ensure compliance with CSA, IEEE, and local utility standards for both electrical distribution, telecommunications, and renewable energy projects
