This position is responsible for analyzing sales data and preparing forecasts, building 18-month rolling consensus forecasts in collaboration with the Commercial team and making continuous efforts to improve the sales forecasts for USA and Canada.

The Forecast Analyst will report on one level to the Team Leader, but also to the Demand Planning and Inventory Manager on another.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and develop statistical demand forecasts based on historical sales, promotional plans, market trends, new product introductions, end of life and product rationalization;
  • Monitor sales of new products, update forecasts and report on sale trends, and inventory levels to cross-functional teams to maximize sales and minimize inventory liabilities;
  • Assign, manage, and maintain statistical models at the item/customer/warehouse/segment/sales team level
  • Ensure the forecasting process within the S&OP process is maintained on a monthly basis
  • Collaborate with the commercial team, purchasing/MRP teams and scheduling teams to ensure accuracy of the demand in the system;
  • Maintain data integrity of the forecasting tool
  • Create consensus agendas for the forecast review, and lead meetings with the segment leads on a monthly basis;
  • Review, maintain, and analyze forecast accuracy reports to identify outliers, and root causes, and make adjustments
  • Create ad hoc reporting as necessary.
  • Promote continuous improvement of forecasting processes, procedures and policies;

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field;
  • Strong understanding of statistical forecasting in a business/supply chain setting
  • Certified Professional Forecaster (IBF certification) an asset;
  • 3-5 years of previous related work experience;
  • E xperience in forecasting e-commerce is an asset
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others to deliver strong business results. (Good communication skills, both written and spoken);
  • Ability to build strong and productive relationships with cross-functional teams. (Interpersonal skills);
  • Ability to sort through complex data to convert analysis into insights, identify core issues and develop actionable plans. Comfortable making conclusions with incomplete information. (Analytical and problem-solving skills);
  • Sense of initiative and quality improvement oriented;
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced Excel skills are required and experience with Access is preferred.

Le titulaire du poste est chargé d'analyser les données relatives aux ventes et de préparer les prévisions, d'établir des prévisions consensuelles à 18 mois en collaboration avec l'équipe commerciale et de s'efforcer en permanence d'améliorer les prévisions de ventes pour les États-Unis et le Canada.


L'analyste des prévisions rendra compte au chef d'équipe, mais aussi au responsable de la planification de la demande et des stocks.


Responsabilités

  • Analyser et élaborer des prévisions statistiques de la demande basées sur les ventes historiques, les plans promotionnels, les tendances du marché, les introductions de nouveaux produits, la fin de vie et la rationalisation des produits ;
  • Surveiller les ventes de nouveaux produits, mettre à jour les prévisions et rendre compte des tendances des ventes et des niveaux de stocks aux équipes interfonctionnelles afin de maximiser les ventes et de minimiser les responsabilités en matière d'inventaire ;
  • Attribuer, gérer et maintenir des modèles statistiques au niveau article/client/entrepôt/segment/équipe de vente
  • S'assurer que le processus de prévision au sein du processus S&OP est maintenu sur une base mensuelle
  • Collaborer avec l'équipe commerciale, les équipes d'achats/MRP et les équipes de planification pour assurer l'exactitude de la demande dans le système ;
  • Maintenir l'intégrité des données de l'outil de prévision
  • Créer des ordres du jour consensuels pour l'examen des prévisions et diriger des réunions avec les chefs de segment sur une base mensuelle ;
  • Examiner, maintenir et analyser les rapports sur l'exactitude des prévisions pour identifier les valeurs aberrantes et les causes profondes, et apporter des ajustements
  • Créer des rapports ad hoc si nécessaire.
  • Promouvoir l'amélioration continue des processus, procédures et politiques de prévision


Qualifications

  • Baccalauréat en chaîne d'approvisionnement ou dans un domaine connexe ;
  • Solide compréhension des prévisions statistiques dans un contexte commercial/chaîne d'approvisionnement
  • Prévisionniste professionnel certifié (certification IBF) un atout ;
  • 3 à 5 ans d'expérience professionnelle dans ce domaine
  • Expérience en prévision dans le e-commerce , un atout
  • Capacité à travailler de manière indépendante et en collaboration avec d'autres personnes afin d'obtenir de bons résultats commerciaux. (Bonnes aptitudes à la communication, tant à l'écrit qu'à l'oral) ;
  • Capacité à établir des relations solides et productives avec des équipes inter fonctionnelles. (Compétences interpersonnelles) ;
  • Capacité à trier des données complexes pour convertir l'analyse en idées, identifier les problèmes fondamentaux et élaborer des plans d'action. Capacité à tirer des conclusions à partir d'informations incomplètes. (Compétences en matière d'analyse et de résolution de problèmes) ;
  • Sens de l'initiative et de l'amélioration de la qualité ;
  • Grande maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office. Des compétences avancées en Excel sont requises et une expérience en Access est souhaitée.
