PowerBuilder Technical Lead - Multiple Openings Location: Onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada Work Type: Part-time, up to 30 hours/week Long Term Contract The PowerBuilder platform remains a key software used in supporting and enhancing existing business applications for both internal ministry programs and external citizen services in Saskatchewan. These applications will connect to the new centralized GEM system for GOS, which will be implemented over the next few years. ITD supports over 30 PowerBuilder applications of varying complexity across GOS, performing specific ministry functions. The role of the PowerBuilder Lead involves working independently, mentoring team members, collaborating with clients and vendors, and designing and supporting PowerBuilder solutions based on customer requirements and best practices. This position is responsible for leading development and implementation projects such as the Enterprise Business Modernization Project (EBMP), aimed at connecting existing applications to the new GEM system. The individual will also guide ITD staff, support ministry-driven changes, and oversee releases of the PowerBuilder platform hosted by Kyndryl. They will assist in maintaining and improving current applications in close cooperation with ITD staff. The role requires offering specialized guidance on governance, software upgrades, and technical analysis involving PowerBuilder and Oracle/SQL technologies. The key responsibilities include: Solution Design and Implementation: Collaborate with ITD teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions using PowerBuilder. Design, customize, and configure solutions, including workflows, forms, dashboards, and reports. Assist in developing solutions using other technologies like .NET, Azure, Git, HTML, Java, MySQL, PL/SQL, Web Services, and DevOps. Migrate data from SQL Server or Oracle databases. Develop reports using Power BI and other tools. Technical Leadership: Lead technical aspects of PowerBuilder projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards. Provide recommendations for platform stability and improvements. Design tools and utilities for platform management. Platform Administration and Support: Manage user access, permissions, and security. Perform maintenance, updates, and troubleshoot issues. Support users and refine solutions for efficiency. Coordinate with external vendors and support services like Appeon PowerBuilder. Lead application releases, utilizing Azure DevOps pipelines. Integration: Integrate PowerBuilder with other enterprise systems. Design data flows and transformations for accurate data exchange. #J-18808-Ljbffr
