Currently, our client is seeking a highly talented Junior Commercial Litigation Associate to join their robust litigation practice group in downtown Calgary. The team is managing a substantial workload, which includes several large mandates as well as a variety of smaller cases. Many of the smaller to mid‑size cases are specifically assigned to junior and mid‑level associates, providing them with the opportunity to take ownership of files, represent clients in court, conduct examinations, and see matters through from inception to resolution. Their clientele spans a wide range of industries, including civil construction, oil and gas, energy, professional liability for architects and engineers, contract disputes, shareholder disputes, and various other commercial litigation matters. This position offers an excellent opportunity for long‑term career growth, along with robust mentorship and sponsorship opportunities from both Partners and Associate. Qualifications and Attributes 1-2 years of experience working on civil and commercial litigation matters, arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolution from a national, regional or reputable boutique. Excellent interpersonal and client service skills, strong initiative, and the ability to work well on a variety of teams. Excellent organizational, project management, and the ability to handle multiple time‑sensitive priorities. Qualified to practice law in Canada.
