Sr. Business Systems Analyst – TD Securities Work Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada Hours: 37.5 Line Of Business: Technology Solutions Pay Details: $76,800 - $115,200 CAD This role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance. Provide technical leadership and work in close partnership with various partners and stakeholders to elicit, analyze and document functional and non-functional requirements. Leverage RESL product and systems knowledge to provide business‑technology interaction subject‑matter expertise toward business value. Define, document, and validate current state capabilities/ecosystem and support stakeholders in designing the desired future state. Collaborate with key stakeholders to propose solutions, assess impact on existing processes and systems, and manage integration. Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, accounting for non‑functional requirements. Own and manage traceability of system requirements through design, development, and testing; ensure acceptance criteria meet stakeholder expectations. Provide support, oversight, and guidance in delivering technology requirements with a focus on quality, reusability, scalability, and innovation. Promote innovation by applying subject‑matter expertise to generate forward‑thinking ideas and identify opportunities for improvement. Adhere to existing processes and standards, escalating issues as required. Continuously enhance knowledge of RESL, industry trends, and TD services, applications, analytical tools, and techniques to contribute to effective solution delivery. Maintain and expand knowledge of business domains and their products/services. Support and contribute to change management planning and activities, including operational readiness. Participate in implementation and post‑implementation planning and activities. Contribute to a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation, and teamwork; ensure timely communication of issues and points of interest. Provide thought leadership and industry knowledge in RESL, participating in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit. Keep current on emerging trends and grow knowledge of the business, tools, and techniques. Engage in personal performance management and development activities, including cross‑training within the team. Keep others informed of project status and progress, and share relevant information related to day‑to‑day activities. Mentor others, sharing knowledge and experiences to build team capabilities. Education And Experience Undergraduate degree or technical certificate. 5–7 years of relevant experience. Experience working in TD Agile. Experience with Confluence, Jira & JTMF. Experience defining REST API specifications, design, and schema is required. Previous software development experience is a plus. Additional Information Advanced to Expert knowledge of system analysis processes and techniques. Deep knowledge of systems and applications supported by the team, including components, functionality, interfaces, data flows, and business rules. Expert knowledge of enterprise technology delivery practices and standards, including design, development, testing, and delivery frameworks. Identifies and leads problem resolution for complex technology requirement‑related issues. Leads and provides guidance on the traceability of system requirements. Works independently as a senior or lead system analyst, coaching and guiding members within the area of expertise.
