As a Software Engineer in Security Platform Engineering, you will develop capabilities and solutions for various security use cases. Our team maintains platforms essential for security, compliance, and privacy at Coinbase. You will create innovative solutions for onchain security, web3 monitoring, and related services to protect Coinbase and its customers. What you’ll be doing: Build new services to meet critical product and business needs using Golang. Design scalable systems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices. Develop a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling backend systems and teams. Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and leadership to turn vision into actionable roadmaps. Write high-quality, well-tested code to serve customer needs. What we look for in you: At least 3 years of software engineering experience. Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services, and understanding service-oriented architecture. Ability to write high-quality, tested code. Passion for building an open financial system that unites the world. Nice to haves: Experience with rapid growth environments (startup to mid-size). Experience with Blockchain technology (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.). Experience decomposing monoliths into microservices. Familiarity with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB. Experience building reliable financial security systems.
