Powered by passionate people, we bring the right teams with the right skills together to turn problems into solutions and challenges into moments of ingenuity.Weu2019re looking for a motivated, quality-driven, heavy-duty Janitor/Cleaner to join our team.**Responsibilities:**Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wash floors, stairs, and other interior surfaces; damp mop small hard-surface areas and vacuum carpets as needed.Perform periodic deep-cleaning tasks such as floor stripping and waxing, carpet steam cleaning, high dusting, wall washing, and window cleaning (upon request).Clean and spot-wash entrance doors (interior and exterior), walls, partitions, light switches, and window sills.Clean and sanitize washrooms daily, including mirrors, sinks, toilets, urinals, tile walls, stall partitions, floors, and dispensers.Replenish supplies in washrooms and common areas, including toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.Clean and sanitize common spaces and entrance areas to maintain a hygienic environment.Dust office cubicles and furniture; polish chrome and other metal surfaces.Collect and dispose of garbage and recycling from all areas; replace liners and transport waste to designated collection points.Monitor for maintenance issues such as clogged fixtures or burnt-out lights and report to the supervisor.Travel between two buildings (located across the street) to perform assigned cleaning duties, including shower maintenance.Operate heavy-duty cleaning equipment and compactors; lift up to 50 lbs as required.Support the supervisor with additional tasks or special assignments as needed.**Qualifications****Qualifications****WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**Must be able to take direction, to work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a teamAbility to use cleaning tools and equipment.Must have own transportationRequires attention to detail, a pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.Floor care experience an asset (able to scrub, buff and polish floors)Knowledge of stripping and waxing the floor is an assetAble to communicate with supervisor, Client and general publicAble to work independently and as part of a teamPositive attitude and strong work ethicAble to lift up to 25 lbs**Additional Information****Additional Information****WHAT''S IN IT FOR YOU?**Be part of an industry that''s more important than everEmployee Referral ProgramCareer advancement opportunities.Whereas other companies are downsizing, we are growingBe #1 on day 1 by joining an industry leader.Dexterra Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
