Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the AWS APJ Prototyping and Cloud Engineering team to support a rapidly growing and dynamic business. As part of an agile AI‑enabled development team you will support AWS customers to develop prototypes specific to their articulated strategic vision for new products and services. The Digital Prototyping team is a hands‑on, cross‑functional group supporting AWS customers to build rapid MVP experiments adapted to their specific, innovation‑focused use cases. The role covers the APJ geography, with some travel to customer sites. Key Job Responsibilities Play a pivotal role in building ground‑breaking capabilities. Maintain operational excellence through a strong Amazonian devops culture. Champion the needs of customers. Design, implement and launch many key features. Influence product feature definition and drive operational excellence. Ideal Candidate Profile Passionate about delivering customer‑delighting experiences and creating robust technology outcomes. Strong team work, hustle, and communication skills. Exceptional technical expertise and sound understanding of Computer Science fundamentals. Basic Qualifications 4+ years of specific technology domain experience (software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics). 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures. 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within software development or Internet‑related industries. Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud. Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
