Your Role

I am currently recruiting for one of my clients, a food manufacturing company based in Sainte-Thérèse, for a Director of Operations - Permanent Position - 40h/week

Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for overseeing all plant operations, including production, maintenance, logistics, and continuous improvement.

Your main responsibilities:

- Operations Management: Optimize production, supply chain, and overall plant organization.
Leadership & Team Management: Lead and develop a team of managers and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean and Kaizen initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, BRC) and industry regulations.
  • Maintenance & Innovation: Oversee equipment maintenance and integrate new technologies to enhance productivity.
  • Health & Safety: Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
  • Budget Management: Establish and monitor operational budgets, approve strategic investments.

Your Background

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience: 5 to 8 years in a similar role within a manufacturing environment (food, pharmaceutical, or cosmetics industries preferred)
  • Key Competencies: Project management, continuous improvement, budget oversight
  • Languages: Fluency in French and English is essential; Spanish is a plus
  • Soft Skills: Proactivity, organization, problem-solving, and teamwork

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 based on experience
Benefits: Permanent position, 40h/week, comprehensive insurance, company retirement plan
