Hybrid | 3 Days Onsite per Week in Downtown,Toronto Our client, a large, multi-national financial institution , is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst – Banking & Data Analytics to join their team on an initial 6-month contract , with a strong possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time role . This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven finance professional to work in a dynamic banking environment, gain exposure to complex financial data, and contribute to critical accounting and reporting initiatives. Role Overview As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in day-to-day and period-end accounting activities , ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and support audit and reconciliation processes. Key Responsibilities Perform day-to-day and month-end accounting activities Review financial results, prepare and post journal entries Complete balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis Provide audit support and respond to internal/external audit inquiries Analyze large financial datasets to identify trends, issues, and insights Leverage data analytics and automation tools to improve reporting efficiency Required Qualifications CPA/CA designation or in process (required) Background in Public Accounting and/or Financial Institution experience Strong technical accounting knowledge Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, data analysis, pivot tables) Experience with SAP and familiarity with IA / automation-assisted tools Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Why Join?
