This role is for one of our portfolio companies, with office and labs based in Hamilton and Mississauga. Laboratory-based, with flexible working hours and growth potential. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Scientist - Drug Release Studies role. The responsibilities include designing, conducting, and analyzing drug release experiments, developing and optimizing protocols, ensuring regulatory compliance in all analytical methods, and troubleshooting issues related to drug release methodologies. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, documenting findings, and preparing technical reports or presentations to communicate results effectively to stakeholders. Critical to this role is staying updated with advancements in drug delivery and release technologies. Key focus Execute established drug release assays Quantify released API using existing analytical methods Compile, analyze, and present release data clearly Support formulation comparison and batch consistency Qualifications Strong expertise in drug release studies, process development, and analytical development Knowledge of quality standards, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance protocols Proficiency in research, data analysis, and scientific communication Hands-on experience with lab instruments, method optimization, and troubleshooting Effective project management, team collaboration, and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and written communication skills Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field; relevant industry experience preferred Familiarity with product commercialization workflows and CMC guidelines is an asset Flexible engagement (contract or full-time).
