Support patient meals at Mount Sinai Hospital through tray delivery, menu preparation, and customer service in Sinai Health’s Patient Food Services Department.
As a Food Service Representative, you will prepare, portion, distribute, and collect patient meals, snacks, and bulk supplies. The work includes therapeutic diet restrictions, food handling, sanitation, and equipment care. You will also support unit pantries and dish room operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver meal trays, menus, and snacks to patient rooms
- Prepare and portion patient menu items and bulk supplies
- Assist with meal tray assembly, distribution, and pickup
- Maintain clean, sanitized unit pantries and food carts
- Follow HACCP, WHMIS, and department procedures
Requirements:
- Successful completion of a high school diploma
- One year of customer service experience
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 7.5 hours
- Ability to lift or push 25 pounds or more
- Customer service orientation and effective communication skills
