Java AWS Lead Developer
Location : Remote in Canada
Salary : 160K
A technical consulting company with extremely well-known high tech clients is seeking a talented and experienced Java Lead to join their team. This role is 100% remote in Canada.

Job Description : Looking for a skilled Java Lead to oversee and contribute to the development of backend systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java, SpringBoot, AWS, SQL/NoSQL, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Docker. This role is 100% focused on backend Java development, and you will be responsible for leading a team of developers to design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure applications.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead and mentor a team of backend developers.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Java applications.
  • Utilize SpringBoot to build and enhance microservices architecture.
  • Deploy, manage, and monitor applications on AWS.
  • Implement and manage SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure code quality, performance, and security of the applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain competitive.

Must Haves :

  • Proficiency in Java with extensive experience in backend development.
  • Strong knowledge of SpringBoot framework.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services.
  • Hands on experience with KALE.
  • Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Proficient in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker.
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Java development.
  • Proven experience leading a development team.
  • Strong portfolio of completed backend projects.
  • AWS certification is a plus.
