Paint Supervisor/ Superintendent($40/hr)

Location: Hamilton Ontario

Pay: $35.00/hr

Day Shift


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Review technical specifications, drawings, procedures, and standards for each project, ensuring a thorough understanding and meticulous execution.
  • Scheduling and Planning: Develop and manage project schedules for coating activities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Environmental Monitoring: Record and track weather and atmospheric conditions to ensure optimal coating performance.
  • Documentation: Prepare comprehensive project quality documents, including inspection and test plans and procedures.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee daily inspections of coating activities, monitor overcoat windows, and maintain rigorous quality control.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure all coating equipment is maintained and operational, reducing downtime and enhancing productivity.
  • Inventory Control: Manage paint supply inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and efficient use of materials.
  • Waste Management: Oversee proper waste disposal for the paint department, maintaining compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as required to support the team and meet project objectives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years in outdoor, all-season sandblasting and painting, including airless spraying techniques.
  • Supervisory Experience: At least 2 years of experience supervising blast/paint crews, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Certifications: Official designation as a Coatings Inspector (Level 1) is an asset, enhancing your credibility and expertise.
  • Industry Knowledge: Marine experience is an asset, providing valuable insights and skills applicable to our specialized projects.
