Job Summary: The Architectural Technologist will be responsible for creating comprehensive and precise technical documentation, particularly focused on healthcare projects. Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) will be crucial for efficiently and accurately representing the design intent in the digital environment. Responsibilities Healthcare Architecture Detailing: Collaborate with the architectural design team to develop detailed technical solutions for healthcare projects, including hospitals, medical centers, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. Focus on wall assemblies, partitions, doors, screens, casework, and other building components. BIM Modeling: Utilize BIM software to create accurate and coordinated 3D models of healthcare buildings, ensuring that all elements are well-documented and integrated within the digital environment. Provide detailed information about materials, dimensions, and other necessary attributes. Technical Documentation: Prepare comprehensive construction documents and detailed drawings, using BIM software, that reflect the design and comply with relevant building codes, healthcare regulations, and industry standards. Ensure accuracy and consistency across all documentation. Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with architects, interior designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate and integrate detailing information seamlessly into the BIM model. Resolve conflicts or clashes that may arise during the design development process. Quality Assurance: Review and validate the accuracy of all BIM elements, ensuring that the model reflects the approved design and meets project requirements. Perform clash detection and resolve issues to avoid problems during construction. Research and Compliance: Stay up-to-date with healthcare architecture trends, best practices, and building technologies, particularly in detailing. Ensure that all technical solutions align with the specific needs of healthcare facilities and adhere to relevant regulations. Continuous Improvement: Participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge of BIM tools, detailing techniques, and healthcare architecture advancements. Propose process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in documentation. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field. Proven experience and expertise in healthcare architecture detailing, preferably within a healthcare architecture firm. Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, such as Revit, ArchiCAD, or similar tools. Strong knowledge of building codes, healthcare regulations, and industry standards. Excellent attention to detail and ability to create precise technical documentation. Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge of sustainable design principles and their application in healthcare architecture is advantageous.
