YOUR PROFILE As a key contributor to Boralex’s team, you will play a vital role in execution of strategic projects of Boralex. We are looking for a mature professional in construction industry with an experience participating in development and execution of large infrastructure projects. You must exhibit solid knowledge of construction industry in North America, and a proven ability to negotiate complex construction contracts, work in and manage multifunctional teams and build relationship with different stakeholders outside and within an organization. You thrive on working on several projects at once, and you would like to work for a pioneering Canadian company, with strong human values, in the renewable energy field. YOUR CHALLENGE Reporting to the Senior Director-Procurement, you will work in strong collaboration with Development and Project Delivery teams to organize procurement of construction services, engineering and other professional services for Boralex wind, storage and solar projects. Working closely with various groups within Boralex, you will have the following responsibilities: Conduct a market analysis of potential contractors and related professional services for construction of RES projects in different areas of Boralex business in the US and Canada; Establish and maintain relationship with potential contractors, identify and seek competitive advantages within partnership with reputable industry players; Work with development, project delivery, engineering and construction teams on building assumptions for new project bids; Lead preparation of RFIs and RFPs for BOP in line with Boralex’ standards, organize and manage commercial evaluation of contractors’ proposal with multi-disciplinary team composed of specialists from engineering, construction, development, project delivery, finance and other teams; Together with multi-disciplinary team conduct contract agreements negotiations with contractors and obtain approvals from different administrative bodies for contracts signing; Support Project Delivery team if needed with solving issues and disagreements with contractors during projects execution; Act as a liaison between H&S team and procurement assuring all contract compliance with H&S standard; organize qualification of contractors and providers to Boralex H&S requirements; Coordinate relationship with engineering companies, lead commercial negotiation and conduct MSA; Lead work with contractors to support Boralex CSR strategy; Organize work of the team dedicated to BOP and professional services procurement; Contribute to the development of procurement function by bringing ideas, feedback, and requirements from own area(s) of responsibility; Other duties within the procurement team responsibilities; NB This position includes occasional travel in North America and abroad. YOUR SKILLS: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent; From 8 years of experience in construction industry, on position of project manager, proposal manager or equivalent experience; Experience in leading contract negotiation and of contracts with value more than 20 million; Experience in the infrastructure project execution; Demonstrated leadership experience in multi-functional projects implementation; Experience working in or with global international business; Good project-management skills and experience in it; High level of negotiation skills; Strong user of Microsoft Suite; Team-player, with ability to work effectively under pressure; Bilingual (French and English); Established professional network among construction industry in North America.
