Overview Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide visionary leadership at a pivotal moment in RMHC Atlantic's history. Working in close partnership with a dedicated Board and a talented team of staff and volunteers, the CEO will guide RMHC Atlantic’s strategic direction, steward the long-term sustainability of the new House and Family Rooms, and amplify the brand, visibility, and impact of the organization across the region. Responsibilities Provide visionary leadership and set strategic direction in collaboration with the Board, staff, and volunteers. Steward long-term sustainability of the new Ronald McDonald House and Family Rooms; foster growth and impact across the region. Amplify brand, visibility, and relationships with diverse stakeholders to advance RMHC Atlantic’s mission. Qualifications Significant senior leadership experience at the CEO level with the ability to shape and execute strategic plans that drive growth and impact; strong business and operational acumen. Experience in financial stewardship, human resources, risk oversight, and ideally reporting to a Board. People-focused leader known for building high-performing teams and fostering inclusivity, resilience, and collaboration. Trusted relationship-builder and public speaker with experience engaging diverse stakeholders; experience in mission-driven, volunteer-based, or federated organizations is an asset. Experience supporting fundraising teams and sponsors to strengthen philanthropy and cultivate key relationships. Authentic passion for mission-driven work and a deep commitment to RMHC Atlantic’s role in keeping families close when they need it most. About RMHC Atlantic Since 1982, RMHC Atlantic has been a lifeline for families who must leave their communities to seek medical care for a seriously ill or injured child. Part of a global network of more than 387 Houses and Family Rooms, RMHC Atlantic provides comfort, care, and connection. Programs include Ronald McDonald House and two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms in Halifax and Moncton, offering respite and a sense of normalcy during difficult times. In April 2025, RMHC Atlantic opened a new Ronald McDonald House across from the IWK Health Centre in Halifax. The House is sustained through charitable giving and volunteerism, with no government funding, and serves as a vibrant hub of compassion and hope for families across the region.
