Senior Construction Purchasing Specialist Join the Office of the Assembly as a Senior Construction Purchasing Specialist. You will support parliamentary operations and contribute to the quality and integrity of the Legislative Assembly's procurement activities. What You'll Do Plan, organize and conduct procurement activities for construction projects and other commodities, developing project specific procurement documents and strategies. Engage in procurement planning with client groups, establishing routine meetings and communications to meet delivery requirements. Support multiple projects at different phases, varying complexity and size. Maintain close relations with clients to ensure procurement execution aligns with contractual requirements and the Assembly's interests. Prepare tenders, proposals, specifications, evaluation metrics and pricing tables in line with construction industry requirements. Liaise with clients, consultants and contractors regarding specifications, scope of work, pricing, terms and conditions. Review and execute contracts, purchase orders, change orders and other documents in accordance with OLA policies. Perform contract administration, liaison between suppliers and departments, and compliance with contract terms including financials. Respond to and, when necessary, elevate contractual disputes to the Manager/Director for resolution. Consult with other Purchasing and Operations personnel to develop and sustain a team approach to procurement issues and client demands. How You Qualify University degree or minimum 5 years of experience in construction procurement. Preferred designation as a certified Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) or Certified Public Procurement Buyer (CPPB). Knowledge of construction industry regulations, guidelines and standards and procurement practices. Proficient in negotiating techniques, cost‑breakdown analysis and application of public policies to procurement. Understanding of contract law related to proposals, tenders, negotiation, risk management and jurisdictional codes. What We Offer Dynamic and unique work environment.
