Position Summary Thales requires a DevOps Specialist with experience in automating, configuring and managing both Windows and Linux server environments. In this role you will design, implement and maintain automation solutions to streamline server configuration, deployment and management processes using Ansible, and work closely with several teams to ensure consistency, security and efficiency across the solution path. Key Areas of Responsibility Design, develop and manage Ansible playbooks and roles to automate configuration tasks across Windows and Linux based servers. Create and maintain reusable modular playbooks that support various environments (dev, test, and production). Implement Ansible best practices set forth by the LC4ISR Ansible Community and integrate Ansible workflows with CI/CD pipelines to enable automated deployments and updates. Identify and troubleshoot issues related to server configuration and automation, and document Ansible playbooks, roles, and workflows for reference and knowledge sharing. Provide guidance and support to other teams on using and developing Ansible‑based automation. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or an Engineering discipline. Proven problem‑solving and analytical skills with a desire to learn. Preferred Qualifications Expertise in Windows and Linux server administration, with scripting experience in PowerShell and Bash, and familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI. Strong knowledge of Ansible (playbooks, roles, modules), Git, and automation/industrialisation methods (Go, Python, Bash). Proficiency with DevOps practices, container development and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Open Shift) and cloud platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
