JLL is seeking a dynamic Tourism Specialist to join our team and drive strategic destination marketing initiatives that enhance visitor experiences and deliver optimal business results. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape tourism development through innovative marketing strategies, industry partnerships, and data‑driven campaigns. What This Job Involves Strategic Marketing & Planning Develop and implement strategic destination marketing plans, strategies, tactics and programs in conjunction with the Marketing Manager to deliver optimal business results Plan new research‑based advertising strategies for current and subsequent years that will increase tourism market share Study strategic advertising/promotional options (digital and web based) to raise the profile of the Centre in B2B Travel Trade media Develop strategies and messaging to promote long weekend excursions, spring breaks, and holiday shopping Relationship Building & Partnership Development Build and maintain relationships with the travel trade, hospitality trade, and regional tourism partners Develop relationships with centre retailers to ensure strong participation in retailer‑driven initiatives (i.e.: Tourist Perks and Loyalty programs) Design, develop and conduct familiarization tours for media, event planning, and tour operators Raise the profile of the centre by attending meetings, seminars, conventions, and workshops Research & Analysis Increase accessibility and sharing of tourism research, quality assurance programs, performance indicators, business metrics and best practices Gather tourism statistics and research to contribute to the Leasing Kit and assist the Leasing Department in retailer acquisition Prioritize provincial assets that yield high tourism demand Program Development & Implementation Further develop and promote tactical programs aimed at the tourist market Develop strategies to increase the tourism shopper database and social media connections alongside Marketing Develop strategies and tactics to increase tourist shopper spending and length of visit Work with Specialty Leasing to implement special projects and generate revenue through sponsorship programs Visitor Experience & Operations Drive the quality of the visitor experience, providing consistent standards of facilities, services and welcome that meets all visitors’ needs Develop content for project specific Travel Trade Press Releases Domestic travel as required What You Need To Succeed Education & Experience College Diploma in Tourism or Hospitality preferred Minimum 3–5 years’ work experience within the tourism or hospitality industry required Must have established networking relationships specific to tourism Skills & Competencies Proficient understanding of Marketing is a definite asset Strong relationship building techniques Passion for creativity with proven ability to develop breakthrough ideas and bring them to market Sound interpretation of market research capabilities Proven sales/negotiating skills Proficient in developing ongoing, strategic campaigns for Social Media channels Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent public speaking/presentation skills Strong computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint Proven ability to work within a team‑oriented and collaborative environment What You Can Expect From Us At JLL, we make sure that you become the best version of yourself by helping you realize your full potential in an entrepreneurial and inclusive work environment.
