Department Overview The Protect Platform teams across North America protect TD customers, colleagues and shareholders from cyber and financial crimes and fraud. The Endpoint Protect team, part of Security Engineering, plans, evaluates, recommends, designs, operationalizes and supports security solutions that protect endpoints (servers and workstations) in compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities Guide and lead team members on Endpoint Protect initiatives, in leading or supporting capacities. Ensure TD areas interacting with Endpoint Threat Protection and Automation technologies (e.g., EDR, AV, FIM, SOAR) are implemented correctly and have adequate documentation and processes. Contribute to project activities: scope and estimate efforts, identify risks and recommend mitigations, communicate status, and work with other teams to ensure project goals are met. Build relationships with internal teams (Cyber Security Operations, Red/Blue/Hunting Teams, Threat Intelligence) to leverage other Endpoint Threat Protection tools such as threat intel, breach attack simulation and automation platforms. Partner with Operations to develop and integrate efficiency and process improvements via automation (scripting or software development techniques). Monitor and control costs associated with your work, including contributions to negotiations of third‑party contracts/agreements. Collaborate with governance and control groups (regulatory, operational risk, compliance, audit) to provide expertise and consult on risk and compliance issues related to engineering technology and tools. Work with technology partners (Solution Designers and Architects) to research and analyze current state system capabilities and define technology solution options and recommendations. Gain knowledge in the area, stay abreast of technology trends and developments, and develop expertise in TD services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools, business domains and products. Work with vendors to support business case development consistent with technology requirements and guidelines, including benefits identification, RFI/RFP and service level agreements. Coach new or less experienced colleagues and serve as a reference point throughout the requirements management lifecycle. Lead, support and participate in infrastructure changes, updates or emergencies occurring outside business hours. Job Requirements This is a senior level role and requires a commensurate level of experience and proficiency. Experience with solution, policy and architecture design and implementing/supporting endpoint security tools, particularly EDR, FIM, Security Automation/Orchestration platforms, Threat intelligence tools, Breach Attack Simulation platforms, and similar. Examples of such tools include: Crowdstrike, Microsoft Defender Platform tools, Symantec Datacenter Security, XSOAR. Experience leading a small group of technical experts (3‑5 people) and managing multi‑team project timelines. Extensive experience with OS administration and troubleshooting (Windows and Linux; macOS a plus). Knowledge of modern digital architecture (cloud, container, messaging, microservices). Proficiency and sound knowledge of other design activities used to secure systems and networks. Proficient in troubleshooting application and network issues. Customer service in an IT context, communicating with technical and non‑technical teams. A strong desire to work independently and contribute in a team environment. Good to have: Familiarity with operating or developing in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Compute Platform. Knowledge of Azure / Azure AD / Active Directory / networks.
