Position Summary: Reporting to the Construction Manager and the Architectural Technologist, the Cabinet Designer will guide the clients and homeowners through the interior finishes selection and cabinet design process, and complete the drawings design concept and cut lists within a set deadline. This role is an integral component of Salvi Group's delivery of quality unique homes and creates excellent customer experience. Responsibilities: Present for interior selection meetings to guide the clients and homeowners in cabinetry design and achieve their desired home design. Guide the clients and homeowners to choose the appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware for each design. Use Mozaik software to create detailed custom kitchen cabinet plans and 3D models of cabinetry designs including cabinet editing and shaping. Create the assembly sheet for each job, this includes creating cut lists and codes so that each job is ready to be completed on the CNC. Taking meeting notes from design meetings to create the finishing schedule. Work closely with the shop to ensure the accurate production of designs. Provide cost estimates and timelines to clients and homeowners. Perform site measures for cabinetry. Work closely with the shop to resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the design or production process. Liaise with suppliers to ensure products displayed in the design centre are current and accurate. Maintain communication with the suppliers to maintain price sheets. Other tasks as assigned. Requirements: Must be certified in Computer Assisted Design or a post-secondary degree or diploma in interior design. Working knowledge of building codes, materials, and furnishings. Experience with Mozaik Software including the 3D visualization tool an asset. Excellent computer skills, and experience with Excel, Adobe, and Bluebeam would be an asset. Strong customer service skills. Self-motivated and detail-oriented. Highly organized, and able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members. Willingness to work as a team player with collaborative decision-making processes. Willingness to visit job sites, suppliers, and vendors sites as needed. Working Conditions: Hours of work: Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch break. May have to work around client schedules. May have to work long hours to oversee the work being completed on schedule. Travelling within the city, to suppliers, vendors and job sites may be required. Use of PPE on the job site is required. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to get to and from the office job sites. Overtime as required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
