The Team

WestCreek Developments Ltd. and WestCreek Homes are currently seeking a Social Media Coordinator. WestCreek Developments is a master-plan residential land development and home building company, proudly building in the greater Calgary area. WestCreek was founded in 1997 and has since completed 11 communities. WestCreek Developments is continuing its growth with innovative current communities such as Legacy, Chaparral Meadows, CornerBrook, CreekView, and Wolf Willow, and several new communities planned to launch in the near future.


Job Summary

The Social Media Coordinator assists with several different marketing tactics and initiatives. They are responsible for working with internal and external resources to achieve and analyze marketing goals. The successful candidate will be self-driven to take ownership of projects and push them through to completion. You’ll have a voice in how things are done and create truly special things. This role will encompass every aspect of the building process of a community, bringing the public along and working with our teams on brand development, creative development, social media management, event planning, to media buying. Working closely with our Creative coordinator and Marketing Analyst, the Social media coordinator will create and execute organic content for all of our brands under the WestCreek umbrella and work on community management and paid media efforts. This social media role will encompass working with our creative teams and external agencies to create organic content, optimize creative performance, and community management and drive change in all aspects of our business. As a small team at WestCreek Developments, our roles can be ever-evolving and changing as our company grows, and we hope that you will grow along with us.


You will require excellent writing, organizational, and time management skills as you will be involved in multiple departments of our business. Strong interpersonal skills are also essential as the position is often in direct communication with a variety of teams both internal and external to the company. There is much room for creativity and new ideas here regarding creative, data, and reporting. We are looking for a person who is deadline-driven, attentive to details, and willing to take on a task list. Responsibilities

As a member of WestCreek’s marketing team, you will:

-         Develop monthly posts on various social media platforms, content calendars

-         Monitor and reply to owned social media channels and encourage community management

-         Participate in campaign performance monitoring, optimization, and support campaign deployment from inception to maintenance

-         Participate in the development of goals and KPIs and the strategies to meet them and apply critical thinking to ensure our campaigns are delivering the greatest results

-         Collaborate with Internal and external teams

Skills and Qualifications

-         Relevant post-secondary degree in commerce, or marketing with previous experience in social media

-         Knowledge of the latest social media trends and best practices

-         Excellent communication and writing skills

-         Experience in managing social media platforms

-         Ability to create engaging and relevant content

-         Strong experience in video, photography and graphic design

-         Knowledge of Meta, Sprout Social, Canva and other design and Social Media Software,

-         Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Mail Chimp and Hubspot are assets.

-         Strong ability to analyze data and determine the effectiveness of campaigns and content, especially integrated paid media campaigns

-         A quick problem solver with the ability to effectively manage multiple goals (revenue, engagement, awareness) and to continuously improve month-over-month KPI targets and prioritize and accommodate last-minute requests with minimal supervision

-         Ability to initiate action to work both independently and in a team environment

-         Eagerness to collaborate with other creative people, give and receive feedback and build on the ideas of others

-         Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle travel within Calgary and surrounding areas is required

-         Willingness to work flexible hours - some evening and weekend work required
