Analyst/Associate, Private Equity Our client is a lower mid market focused private equity firm based in Toronto investing across Canada and the US. Backed by a major Canadian multi-platform alternative asset manager the fund is positioned for growth as is the team. If you are interested in joining a young firm which offers plenty of room for growth, a highly experienced and successful private equity investment team, plenty of dry powder to invest, a highly relevant sustainable platform, and the backing of a major sustainable investment platform, this may be a tremendous opportunity for you. You will be an active investor. They are looking to add an Associate to their growing team based in Toronto. The role will focus on research, investment due diligence, financial modeling and support the execution of new investments and add-ons to existing portfolio companies. This individual will also work closely in supporting the value creation initiatives of the portfolio companies. The Role: Support various stages of a private equity investment including research, due diligence, financial modeling, working closely with lenders and third-party advisors, senior partners, and senior executives of portfolio companies in their value creation strategy. Become a true contributing member of the team. Build trust with senior executives internal and external. Develop a strong subject matter experience in the agri-food industry. Attend conferences and trade shows as required. Role Requirements: Strong desire to be part of an entrepreneurial team who are excited to build and grow together 2-3 years overall experience within investment banking, or private equity/growth equity or corporate development Bachelor’s degree in business or commerce Strong understanding of businesses and operations Critical and curious mindset, able to communicate points of view in a positive collegial and informed manner Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, interpersonal, problem- solving, financial analysis, and organizational skills Must be legally eligible to work in Canada to be considered Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
