Davis Chevrolet Brooks Ltd. in Brooks, Alberta, is currently seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join their busy dealership The successful candidates will work with us on a permanent full-time basis and earn $36.00 per hour. Job Duties: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components or commercial transport truck systems Discuss work with supervisor Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions Inspect motor in operation and road test motor vehicles Review work orders Test automotive systems and components Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems Repair or replace mechanical units or components Perform scheduled maintenance services Estimate parts and labour costs Test and adjust units to specifications advise customers on work performed and future repairs required Complete reports to record problems and work performed Coach and instruct apprentices Provide customer service Areas of specialization: Electrical and electronic systems Brake system Fuel and emission system Automatic transmission Engine repair and overhaul Front-end components 4-wheel drive Alignment, steering and suspension. Hydraulic system Ignition and electrical systems Standard transitions Imported vehicles. Heated, ventilation, and air conditioning systems Requirements: A valid Driver's License 3 to 5 years of experience Excellent oral and written communication skills Judgement Team player Client focused Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Reliable and punctual Flexible English is required for verbal and written communication Able to stand, bend, crouch for an extended period of time You will receive: Paid vacation Company benefits, which include life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment, long-term disability, short-term disability and extended health and dental coverage.
