We’re hiring a Paid Media Director to own paid media strategy, performance, systems, and team development across the agency. This role is responsible for building, leading, and scaling high-performance paid media teams that consistently deliver against aggressive growth targets. This is a builder, operator, and performance leader — someone who understands platforms deeply, builds teams from scratch, enforces best-in-class SOPs, and is obsessed with hitting targets. Core Mandate Own performance across Meta, Google, TikTok (and emerging platforms) Build and scale the paid media team and operating system Drive cross-functional excellence across creative, copy, and media Enforce world‑class process, testing discipline, and execution quality Obsessed with hitting targets and creating high performance systems Key Responsibilities 1. Platform Mastery & Algorithmic Expertise Maintain deep, current knowledge of Meta, Google, and TikTok, including: Latest algorithm changes, delivery mechanics, attribution shifts, and product updates New features, betas, campaign types, and automation frameworks Best‑practice structure by objective, funnel stage, and scale phase Be the internal authority on: Meta Advantage+, ASC, CAPI, Aggregated Event Measurement, creative diversification Google Search, Performance Max, YouTube, Demand Gen TikTok Spark Ads, UGC amplification, creator integration Proactively adapt strategy as platforms evolve (not reactively). 2. Paid Media Strategy & Architecture Design full‑funnel paid media frameworks aligned to business outcomes, not vanity metrics. Define: Account structures Campaign frameworks Testing roadmaps Scaling methodology Ensure all campaigns are built with: Clear hypotheses Signal integrity Learning‑phase protection Long‑term scalability in mind 3. SOP Ownership & Process Engineering Own and continuously evolve the agency’s paid media operating system, including: Campaign setup SOPs Creative testing frameworks Optimization protocols Reporting standards Build cross‑functional SOPs that align: Media buying Landing page flow Build systems that scale people + performance simultaneously . 4. Cross‑Functional Performance Leadership Work tightly with: Creative Copy Account teams Integrate a culture of performance across all cross‑functional interactions. 5. Team Building & Talent Development Build paid media teams from scratch or restructure underperforming teams. Own: Hiring profiles Interviewing standards Performance management Set clear expectations around: Thinking level Ownership Accountability Develop buyers into strategic operators, not task executors . Must be comfortable setting a high standard and hiring, firing, coaching, and upgrading talent to those standards. 6. Target Obsession & Performance Accountability Own delivery against: CPL / CPA ROAS Down‑funnel conversion Revenue impact Build scorecards and performance tracking to: Identify underperformance early Diagnose root causes Correct fast Instill a culture where: Missing targets is investigated Excuses are challenged Performance is non‑negotiable Oversee and optimize budgets ranging from $10k to $150k+ per month . Ensure: Controlled testing Make high‑judgment calls on: When to push When to pull back When to kill When to double down 8. Advanced Optimization & Testing Frameworks Define and enforce: Creative testing frameworks Audience testing methodologies Offer testing strategies Ensure all optimization is: Hypothesis‑driven Isolated by variable Properly measured Eliminate random tinkering and “gut feel” changes. 9. Reporting, Insights & Decision Support Clear insights Strategic recommendations Actionable next steps Build reporting frameworks that: Show what matters Surface risk early Reporting must be insight‑driven, not metric‑dumping .
